Solution to your Knee Pain?

The knee joint connects the thigh bone (femur) to the tibia (shin bone) and is called a synovial joint.

Two main joints are seen in the knee, they are (a) the tibiofemoral joint, is where the tibia comes in contact with the femur; and (b) the patellofemoral joint, is where the patella (knee cap)  comes in contact with the femur. These two joints work synchronously to form a modified hinge joint. This modified hinge joint allows the knee to rotate side to side, bend, and straighten the leg.

The largest joint in our body is the knee joint. While walking the load on this joint is 1.5 times our body weight, it becomes 3-4 times while climbing stairs, and during squatting this load is 8 times. Being a load-bearing joint, it is more susceptible to injury. Ligaments connect the bone to bone, which is a tough structure that provides the stability to the knees.
